The zinc coating on galvanised steel edging isn't decorative — it's the reason the steel underneath doesn't corrode. That layer, applied through a hot-dip galvanising process, bonds to the steel surface and essentially sacrifices itself before rust gets a chance to take hold. It's a genuinely useful property if you're putting edging into soil that stays damp, or in a garden that gets irrigated regularly.
Shapescaper's galvanised garden edging uses Galvabond steel — a BlueScope product, Australian-made — and comes in a range of heights and lengths designed to handle both straight runs and curves without flexing out of shape. The finish is clean. A bright silver-grey that weathers gradually into a softer, more matte tone over time.
